On the initial day of school, Inoue suffers from an asthma attack and receives assistance from a boy, Karasuma. Inoue's heart skips a beat for Karasuma as the latter reciprocates insipidly. Despite Karasuma's disinterest, Inoue persists, asking him out three times daily.
