Cat and Bird have been best friends for practically their entire life and thought they always would be. All of that starts to change after some crossed boundaries at a party, where their friendship is tested and Cat meets a new friend Dog. What follows is a tale of love, friendship and some inter-dimensional adventure sprinkled in as Cat, Bird and Dog have to navigate an ever changing world as well, as their own feelings.
The world of Srko is one full of sin and death. The nations of the Middle Lands fight for survival while the Scorch Crows, lead by Dioneese, slowly conquer their land as their own. The kings of the lands yet to be conquered fear that their kingdoms are next in line to be absorbed into the territories taken under the pressing grip of the crow’s talons. The brother-in-law of Dioneese is a purple lizardman named Whacks Wangsworth. He’s short, very short, and isn’t the brightest. But when his wife is kidnapped by Dioneese, her own brother, Whacks sees to it that he leaves his two adopted daughters in search of his captive wife. One of these daughters, named Starlight, secretly follows him, and befriends a tall, otherworldly warrior named Lord D. These three unknowingly have found their spirits entangled in a cosmic plan so beyond their understanding that what they see in the physical realm, and what Lord D has seen in the spirit realm, doesn’t even show a sliver of a fraction of what they are about to experience. Death, kingdoms against kingdoms, war, famine, and the ever-present weight of the stench of absolute depravity tainting every thought, word, and deed of every mortal on the surfaces of the three layers of creation. This inability to do good, this absolute depravity that stains the spirits of every mortal being from the time of their conception, is unknown to most. Those who do know of its presence think of it in various ways. For some, such as Lord D, it’s an inevitability, a dark and depressing truth of the world they live in. For others, like Whacks, it is a passive truth, but true nonetheless; something to be apathetic towards as long as a goal is in mind. But for some, like Starlight, the weight is greater than anything in creation. Yet they know of a hope to come, a divine truth that contrasts the stain of this inherited sin, that makes the ugly form of absolute depravity seem as nothing in comparison. Alas, this hope is forgotten to time, only remembered by a select few. But to those who do know of this hope, they know the truth… The day of sacrifice is near. The story of creation is nearing its end.
