Universal Century 0096. Several months have passed since the incident surrounding Laplace\'s box also known as the Universal Century Charter. The Earth Federation Forces dispatches a group of investigators to the severed Axis which is drifting outside the Earth Sphere. Two civilians participate as members of the research group: Arlette Almage and Danton Hyleg. Both have pasts with government service to the Principality of Zeon and Neo Zeon as an engineer and test pilot. Having infiltrated Axis, the investigators come under attack inside a base where no one should be. Arlette and Dalton are confronted with an incident they never imagined.
In U.C. 0096, a ceremony to commemorate the end of the One Year War is held in Side 7. The Aonbarr, built to resemble the famous White Base is present at the ceremony, having transported junior high school students from Earth for the ceremony. Sun Place, one of the students who quickly becomes bored with the ceremony, enters a restricted access area, and encounters the three MS built for the ceremony, the G-First, Cannongan, and GF-Tank. At the same time, Zeon remnants on the Musai-class "Mailmer" attack, hoping to secure the Aonbharr as a trophy and join the Neo Zeon remnants known as "The Sleeves".
Universal Century 0089. Mashiro Oaks is a high school student on Side 2 Colony "Olympus." He gets the high score on a game titled "Walpurgis Night" and, by distributing the video on an underground network, he gets noticed. The tagline reads, "Young Man, defy your cursed fate!!"

Universal Century 0087, seven years after the end of the One Year War between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. Ensign Reccoa Londe has provided the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG) with information regarding possible mobile suit development at the civilian colonies of Green Noa. Lieutenant Quattro (Char Aznable) with his wingmen Lieutenant JGs Apolly (Andy) and Roberto (Ricardo) head to the colonies to investigate. On Green Noa 1, Kamille Bidan is rushing to the spaceport where the Temptation, a ship a former One Year War ace is on, is docking. He’s hoping to get an autograph from the famed Captain Bright Noa. As Bright explains that he’s on duty, Jerid and company interrupt the two. Jerid smacktalks Bright for receiving a two rank demotion upon refusing to join the Titans and grabs Kamille’s photo saying he should sign it as an elite member of the Federation. The two get into a scuffle and Kamille is hauled off for questioning. Matosh questions Kamille about being an AEUG insider but just then he’s freed after his story checks out. Just as the handcuffs come off, the Gundam MK-II crashes into the building…
