The story continues where the first season left off only months into the future. Yuokai Gakuen has been repaired and the new semester is underway. Tsukune and gang are back, and more powerful then ever. Anti-Thesis's true identity is relieved. Despite being an average student, Tsukune manages to secure a place in a high school, only to realize that its student body is far from ordinary. He becomes the center of attention for a beautiful female student who bestows him with romantic attention. But, her affinity for him proves to be more concerning than flattering, as she leaves a evident mark on his neck after biting him. To make matters worse, Tsukune questions his ability to keep up in a school torn apart by a longstanding rivalry between werewolves and vampires, rather than athletes and scholars.

Feeling defeated, Tsukune decides to leave, but he meets a beautiful girl named Akashiya Moka, who also happens to be a vampire. Moka bites him, and they become friends. Tsukune looks forward to a happy school life with her, but his happiness is short-lived when he learns that any human found on the school grounds is to be killed. With Moka's help, Tsukune conceals his identity from the other monsters, but he must also allow Moka to feed on him whenever she wants. As Tsukune navigates this dangerous situation, he wonders how it will affect him, and if Moka will be able to keep him safe.
Rose Guns Days takes place in Japan at the end of World War II. Rose Hip Rose is a manga about a teenage girl who fights crime. While the setup doesn't sound so great, it gets better as the manga progresses. The series' major strong point is the art. Along the way, she ends up having a showdown with a major criminal named The Goat. However, it seems that The Goat doesn't seem to like being caught. Be wary, though, the series is very violent. The art and story are by Fujisawa Tohru, author of GTO and Bad Company. The art is quite nice, but somewhat different from GTO's. If you like violence, gore, Fujisawa, or cacti, Rose Hip Rose is the manga for you. Oh yeah, did I mention it was violent?
